Kate Editor – insert document properties such as file name into text

I would like to insert the file name and other document properties into the text of the document automatically in Kate.

Is there a code that will do this? I’m thinking about something like the document variables (see https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/applications/katepart/config-variables.html). However, I have not yet found anything that will do what I want.

(I’m still on Kate 3.X and Ubuntu 12.04, but will be moving to Plasma 5 soon — either with Kubuntu 16.04 or OpenSuse.)
