Is there a way to edit Wiki Markup more efficiently?

I noticed that there is a possible duplicated question. However, that question didn’t receive any answer too, and what I need is a bit different, so I decided to start a new question.

I am currently writing a wiki for a company project for easier follow up in the future. However, the default editor of the wiki is difficult to use, especially the fact that it is not possible to use tab for indentation. So my colleague and I usually copy and paste the wiki content to the editor we use every day (namely atom, sublime and notepad++) and copy it back after editing.

To make things even easier,

  1. Is there syntax highlight and auto-complete package for wiki? We are using doku wiki, but I think the difference of different wiki should be small. And is there a file extension of wiki files?

  2. Is there a way to remotely change wiki content except the default editor? (We don’t mind using another editor program.)
